Submerged arc welding intelligence
Heavy welds deserve more than an operator's memory.
Monopiles, pressure vessels and heavy structures are welded in dozens of passes over hours. Quantum® turns that process into planned, adaptive and fully traceable execution.
Overview
In regulated welding, quality has to be proven.
Multipass submerged arc welding of thick circumferential joints depends on correct pass layout, constant adaptation to the real groove and a complete record of what happened. Quantum® brings those three into a single platform that runs at the welding station, for the operator, the welding engineer and the inspector.
Quantum® is an execution platform for multipass submerged arc welding of heavy joints. It plans the passes, adapts the torch to the measured groove, records the process pass by pass and produces the documentation regulated fabrication requires.
How it works
Plan. Execute. Inspect. Document.
Quantum® covers the complete life of a weld job.
Plan
Job templates combine joint definition, welding recipes and pass scheduling into a reusable configuration.
Capabilities
Designed for the welding station
Multipass scheduling
Pass sequences are planned visually instead of programmed pass by pass.
Adaptive tracking you can explain
Lateral and vertical adaptation strategies are selected by the operator, not hidden in a black box.
Process data by position
Voltage, current and travel speed are recorded for every pass along the joint.
3D and 2D inspection
Reconstructed geometry can be explored in 3D and measured in cross-section.
Conformance reporting
Reports are structured to support welding documentation in regulated fabrication.
Audit and backup
Every configuration change is logged. Systems can be backed up and restored.

A separate product line, built on shared expertise.
Quantum® runs welding stations rather than robot programs, and stands on its own. Its inspection technology is the foundation of Lynx®, our weld inspection product for robotic MIG/MAG welding.
